Be Faithful
One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? (Luke 16:10-11)
Many people feel their lives have turned into boring routines. They don’t think there is much meaning in their lives.
They are doing the same things day in day out. Nothing exciting happens.
But there is meaning in the routine.
God is preparing you in the process. He is testing you to see if you are faithful in the routine.
Things may look the same every day. It’s another ordinary day. I am doing the same things again and again.
Nobody is watching. Nobody cares how I do things.
No. God is watching. He puts you there for a purpose.
He is seeing if you can be trusted with the ordinary.
David was a boy when he was anointed as the king to succeed Saul. But after the anointing, he did not become proud or started behaving like a king. He went back to his sheep!
He continued the routine task of looking after his sheep. He became king later at the age of 30!
The things we do may be mundane, but there is meaning to them. We eat and drink for the glory of God (1 Cor 10:31).
Strive to do everything with excellence because we serve the Lord Christ (Col 3:23-24). He is our Master.
He is watching us and preparing us for higher service for Him.
Stop complaining that every day is boring and routine. Stop that negative attitude.
Stay encouraged and passionate in your pursuit of God.
Be faithful in the routine.
