We Are So Blessed

We Are So Blessed

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. (Eph 1:3)

God is blessed forever.  He is to be acknowledged as the supreme Creator and Almighty God.

We praise Him for who He is.  He alone deserves worship.

Our God, who is blessed above all, has blessed us in Christ.  We are blessed because of His Son.  We have God’s love, favor, and grace upon us, though we do not deserve them.

God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.  These blessings are not of the earthly kind.  They are of the heavenly kind, eternal, perfect, of the best quality.

Though we are still in this world, we have these blessings the same way we would have them if we were in heaven.

They are available to us now.

These spiritual blessings far outweigh earthly, temporal blessings.

We often associate blessings with wealth, heath, promotion, happiness, comfort, favorable circumstances.

But no one is immune to struggles with health, finances, job, relationships, or unfavorable circumstances.

When we encounter these struggles, will we question God’s goodness?  Are we still blessed?

The truth is that we are blessed no matter what happens to us.

The apostle Paul reminds us about the true blessings we have in Christ.

God chose us before the world was created.  He sanctifies us that we might be holy.

He made us blameless because the blame was borne by Jesus for us.

He loves us.  He adopts us as His children.

Our present afflictions are preparing us for something better.

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. (2Cor 4:17)

He has in store our eternal inheritance waiting for us on the Day of Redemption.

The earthly, material blessings we seek pale in comparison with the eternal blessings we will inherit.

Indeed, we are so blessed!
