Walk With the Wise

Walk With the Wise

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. (Prov 13:20)

We become like those we associate with.

You can tell about someone by the company he keeps.

We can influence others intentionally but we are influenced by others unconsciously.

This shows the importance of having Christian fellowship with fellow believers.

As we come together, we have some blessings to share, some word of encouragement, some counsel to give to others, some prayers to pray over.

We see the desire in others to seek after the Lord.

We see their struggles and victories and are encouraged by their examples.

We are thus spurred on to love the Lord and do good to others.

But the much needed walk is the walk with the Lord.

When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word
What a glory He sheds on our way.

Jesus called twelve men so that they might be with Him.

They lived with Him and they witnessed and handled Him.

The aim was to become like Him.

Jesus is Wisdom personified.  He is Wisdom (Prov 1:20).

When we walk with Him, we will be wise.
