Act By Faith In God

Act By Faith In God

Who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. (Heb 11:33-34)

God called Moses to deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt.

He acted by faith and brought the whole nation out of slavery in Egypt.

God commanded the Israelites to possess the Promised Land.

Joshua led them to conquer the Canaanites and gained their land.

God called Othniel, Ehud, Barak, Gideon, Jephthah, and other judges to deliver the Israelites from the hand of their oppressors.

They acted by faith.  They trusted the Lord to give them victory over their enemies.

Before they answered God’s call, they must have felt apprehensive.

They were going to face the enemy who was stronger, more numerous, and had oppressed them for years.

Can they overcome them?

It was a matter of life and death.

But they moved forward by faith in God, believing that He will help them.

They did their part and God rewarded their faith by giving them victory.

When the Lord leads you to do something, how do you respond?

You respond by faith in Him.

God opens the door.  But you must step through it.

Faith without action is useless if we fail to do what we ought to do.

We trust God by faith and leave the results to Him.

What is the Lord prompting you to do?

Act by faith in Him.  He will give you the victory.
