Praise Him!

Praise Him!

“O that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!” (Ps 107:8)

When Jesus entered Jerusalem, His disciples began to rejoice and praise God, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!  Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some Pharisees were jealous of Him and told Him to stop His disciples from praising God.

Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out” (Luke 19:40).

God is such a wonderful, awesome, marvelous God.

He is worthy to be praised.

He is glorious, holy, righteous, gracious, merciful, loving, kind, mighty, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, wise, victorious, faithful, good.

He saves us, protects us, provides for us, watches over us, stays with us, heals us, fellowships with us, hears our prayers, guides us, gives us wisdom, keeps His promises, never leaves us.

We are commanded to praise Him.  “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” (Psalm 150:6).

Even if we don’t, all creation praise Him.  “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork” (Ps 19:1).

Angels praise God continually (Rev 7:11; Isa 6:1-2).

It is our normal response to Him and His goodness that we praise Him.

God is worthy of praise.

Let’s praise Him every day!
