Surrounded by His Presence
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. (Ps 34:7)
Sometimes, we feel we are surrounded by difficulties, problems, troubles, afflictions.
We feel so overwhelmed that we fail to use our eyes of faith.
We only see the physical and the outward.
Once, Elisha was surrounded by the army of Syria (2 King 6:15-19).
His servant was very, very frightened.
But Elisha prayed that the Lord would open his servant’s eyes to see the horses and chariots of fire surrounding them.
God promises His presence to surround us. Scripture is filled with these promises.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Ps 23:4)
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? (Ps 139:7)
God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:12b)
I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matt 28:20b)
I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever. (John 14:16)
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? (1 Cor 3:16)
I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Heb 13:5b)
The promise of His presence is with us daily.
We may be surrounded by difficulties, but God surrounds us with Himself.
He sends His angel to encamp around us and deliver us from our difficulties.
God is greater and mightier than any problem we face.
He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Open your eyes of faith and see yourself surrounded by His presence and His angel.
Be at peace and trust the Lord.
