The Plague of Sin
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned (Rom 5:12).
Pandemics begin with one person infected with a disease.
The global economy can be affected by an act of terrorism.
A global financial crisis can be triggered by one man’s greed.
Over the past few months till now, the coronavirus has spread throughout the whole world. Thousands are infected and the numbers are increasing in many countries. Hundreds have died. The plague is still spreading.
But there is another plague that is more deadly.
– the plague of sin.
By one man’s (Adam’s) disobedience, sin entered the world. Sin passed on to all men. And so did death, for all have sinned.
But by one Man’s (Jesus’) obedience, many will be made righteous.
For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous (Rom 5:19).
We don’t have to die eternally for our sins. Jesus took our punishment on the cross.
W will die physically one day. But we will die so that we will live again and die no more.
By trusting in Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, we can receive forgiveness of our sin and healing from this plague of sin.
The plague of sin will never be able to kill us again.
