When You Are Oppressed

When You Are Oppressed

But you see the trouble and grief they cause. You take note of it and punish them. The helpless put their trust in you. You defend the orphans. [15] Break the arms of these wicked, evil people! Go after them until the last one is destroyed. (Psalm 10:14-15)

Why do the wicked prosper?

They oppress the poor and boast about their wickedness (v 2-3).

They even snub at the Lord (v 11).

It seems that God is not doing anything about their wickedness and injustice (v 1).

But God hears the cries of the helpless (v 14).

God is not an idle spectator.  He sees every act of injustice and wrongdoing done to you.

He sees your trouble and feels your grief.  He knows when you are bullied, or when you are cheated, or when you are falsely accused.

He will punish the wicked and defend the oppressed (v 15).

He will defend His people (v 17-18).

God rules the nations.  He knows everything that happens in His entire kingdom.

Our responsibility is to walk in His ways and trust in Him always.

God is trustworthy.  He shows mercy to those who are oppressed and He judges the evil.
