Fully Satisfied with Jesus
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35).
Suppose you are hungry. Someone offers you a loaf of bread and a piece of biscuit. He asks you to choose only one. Which would you choose?
The bread satisfies your hungry. The biscuit does not. After eating the bread, you would not need the biscuit.
Believing in Jesus is feeding on Him. Only Jesus can give us what really satisfies.
When we have Him, we are fully satisfied.
The things of the world only make us happy for a moment. Even then, that happiness is not real happiness. We are only made to think that we are happy. But we are not.
Nothing can be compared with Jesus. His presence is so powerful and pleasing. He is all we desire. We seek no other.
This is why our love for Jesus surpasses all other loves. His love satisfies the deep longing of our soul for love, acceptance, and significance.
The satisfaction that comes from Him overflows in us so that His love overflows from us to others around us.
Jesus stood up and cried out, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water (John 7:37–38).
Jesus is that inexhaustible fountain of life that flows in us to satisfy us and bless others also.
