In the Lions' Den

In the Lions' Den

worship 570x300“He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously” (Dan 6:10b).
Daniel faithfully observed his prayer times.
When wrongly framed, he was cast into the lions’ den.
There he spent the night with the lions, sleeping among them.
By contrast, the king could not eat or sleep.  He was much distressed, finding ways to deliver Daniel.
Which is better?  To be at peace with God and in the den of lions or to be out of the will of God and feasting?
Daniel could have prayed, “Lord, let me pray to You in secret,”
or “Lord, because of the danger that I am in, I will stop praying for the next few months until this threat to my life subsides,”
or “Lord, please remove this danger or at least, let me go away for a while.”
He kept on praying because he sought to please His God, who is more powerful than kings or lions.
