My Manna

When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour. (Isa 43:2-3 NLT)

Sometimes we find our lives in battles much like a hurricane. The suffering can be brought on by something we have done ourselves. Other times, we may be the victims of someone else’s hurt. Whatever the circumstances, the surging waves of pain overwhelm us. The high winds of doubt and the heavy rains of fear engulf our very being.

With our spirits are pummeled and bruised, it is time to reactivate our faith in the only One Who can carry us safely through the long days and nights of distress. We are called to put our trust, once again, in our heavenly Father. He will ride the high tides of anguish with us.

Let us cling to Him! Let us claim the promises found in His holy Word! Before we know it, the sun will be shining on us again.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.” Psalm.91:14-16.

Just read Psalm 91 putting your name in the place of “he” and “him”. The entire psalm is direct promises of God for you for your present need and future life.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that in the battles of life, You will be with us, and You will carry us safely through when we put our trust in You. Amen.
