“What is truth?”

This was the question that Pontius Pilate asked Jesus in John 18:38.

It’s such a pivotal, eternity-altering question that I have this page marked in my Bible so I can find it immediately.

First and foremost, truth is not an idea or an opinion, but a Person.

Jesus said in John 14:6:
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

And in John 16:13:
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”

In other words, all truth comes from God, because He personifies truth.
As we delve into His Word and are attentive to the Holy Spirit, we can and should know The Truth.

Truth is Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
Truth is the Word of God, the Bible.
Truth will set you free!

“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word, which reveals Your truth to us. Help us to live in a way that presents Your truth to everyone we encounter today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
