Count Your Blessings

Count Your Blessings

Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 5:20).

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thess 5:16-18).

Counting your blessings is believing and being thankful that God is in control of everything.  You believe that God is working all things together for your good.

You believe your life is meaningful and fulfilling because God is at work in your life.

We give thanks in good times and even in seemingly bad times.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing (Jas 1:2-4).

Thank the Lord in advance when you pray that He hears and will answer your prayers according to His time and ways because He knows what is best for you.

You are chosen, forgiven, redeemed, righteous, set free, blessed by God, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

You have love, grace, faith, hope, power, privileges, and position as a child of God.

You are loved, cherished, blessed by God Almighty Himself.

Yes, you fall at times but “the righteous falls seven times and rises again” (Prov 24:16).  You don’t have to remain there when you fall.

Seek God’s forgiveness, be restored to fellowship with God, and move on.

That’s another two blessings you can count on – forgiveness and restoration.

The Christian life is not about achievements.  It is about a growing love relationship with God.

You are surrounded with God’s abundant blessings.

The Christian life may be a journey in the narrow way, but it can be lived with joy and blessings.

Give praise and thanks to God who “is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work” (2 Cor 9:8).
