Start Right

Start Right

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matt 6:33).

It is so important to start right.

A Chinese proverb says: A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

A ship that deviates one degree to the left or right of its starting point will end up miles away from its destination.

At the onset of the new year, start right by dedicating yourself to God.

“Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?
Your heart, does the Spirit control?
You can only be blest and have peace and sweet rest,
As you yield Him your body and soul.”

If we want to have a successful year, we need to seek Him.

Success is knowing the will of God and doing it.

Success is not measured by how much we possess, or length of service, or how many awards we receive, or the applause of man.

God purposed for us to love Him, enjoy Him, keep His commandments, be ambassadors for Him.  When we fulfil the purpose for which we are created, we will earn our Father’s smile and enjoy genuine satisfaction.  This is true success.

What are our values?  Are they eternal or temporal?  Heavenly or earthly?

Start the new year right.  Don’t waste your life this year.  And you will end the year (if He tarries) victorious, without any regret.

Would you seek God’s will and the blessings that come along with it?
